Hello, I'm Henil.
I'm a product designer based in India, working remotely with teams building SaaS and AI products. Designing professionally since 2021. MSc UX from Birmingham City University, thesis on gesture-based interaction in Web AR.
I came to design through a research route, and I still work like that: understand the problem before reaching for tools, challenge the assumptions in the brief, run the question through usability testing or analytics when it matters.
Between the MSc and getting back into design full-time, I worked as Team Lead at a high-volume Subway at the NEC in Birmingham, supporting myself in the UK and getting a useful operational education in managing teams, service design, and edge cases under load. Not glamorous, but informative.
I also build. RetailHub is a B2B retail-analytics SaaS I designed and shipped end-to-end with AI tools. It is not common for a designer to ship the actual product, and I think that gap is shrinking faster than people expect. I use AI through my process: AI coding tools for prototypes that need to behave like the real thing; Figma Make and Stitch when speed matters more than fidelity; judgement about which fits the day.
- ·Lead with the problem, not the brief.
- ·One well-thought-through artefact beats four polished ones.
- ·Write things down (case studies, decision notes, why-files) so a team can disagree with the reasoning, not just the pixels.
- ·Interested in AI products where the hard part isn't the prompt.
- ·Prefer small teams that ship over large teams that meet.
Designing Treqo. Open to full-time roles at AI-product / SaaS companies, and selected freelance product UX work for early-stage teams.
